GO CARDINALS!!!

for the Joseph Case High School Music Ensembles

THE GENERAL FUND

Fundraising helps raise money for the CHAMPS general fund. Monies from this fund are used primarily for instructor fees and pay for such things as uniforms, props, meals on the road, new equipment and instruments. Scholarships are also awarded to students who meet the requirements. All performing groups have needs that are not covered under the music department budget and the general fund helps to meet those needs. In previous years we have purchased a trailer, vibraphone, tenor saxophone, color guard equipment including a floor mat and many percussion supplies.

Scholarships are also awarded with monies from the CHAMPS general fund. Last year we awarded $3100 in Scholarships to deserving young students.

FUNDRAISERS

New and exciting fundraisers will be scheduled for the 2007-2008 school year. Students will be required to participate in all fundraisers in order to be considered for General Fund scholarships.

All fundraisers help the participant as well as the performing groups. Students can only better themselves and their performing groups by participating.  Occasionally a fundraiser may be for a specific purpose i.e. trailer, instruments, etc. This year we are continuing to raise funds for new chorus risers. Notice of all fundraisers will be posted on the web-site, on the band room bulletin board and be announced in school.

If a student is unable to participate in a scheduled fundraiser the student must contact a CHAMPS officer. Additional fundraising by the student will be necessary to maintain eligibility for scholarships.

All fundraisers will have a beginning and ending date. Money and/or unsold items must be returned by the posted ending date. All outstanding fundraising items and/or money will be deducted from the students account. This will automatically freeze the students account until the items or money can be accounted for.

*In order to qualify for General Fund Scholarships, a student must participate in all fundraisers*

CASE HIGH SCHOOL LETTER JACKETS

In order to purchase a Case High School Letter Jacket a student must have participated for 2 years in the High School music program at the high school level. Furthermore, students who have participated in fundraisers during those two years may use some or all of the money from their account to defray the cost of the jacket.

*actual Jacket will vary……. ( and will be Larger!!! )
